- Wedding: December 2010
So, to set the scene 😉 We are getting married next June in a large, old, wooden house in Sweden (it will be very bright at this time of year). The dining room basically looks like the inside of a barn but with lots of windows – I guess that is the best way to explain it.
We want to keep it minimalistic but we really want to do something with big white paper lanterns and leds/throwies. We know that the light won’t be much, given the brightness outside and the use of throwies, but we just love the look of large white paper lanterns in a wooden room.
So, I was thinking about hanging 3 or 4 paper lanterns at different heights (but with each lantern touching the other lanterns – you know?) quite low over each table. And then having a very simple, very low centrepiece (maybe just small glass jars of babys breath?). Or maybe skip the centrepiece altogether?? Anyway – does that all make sense?
Now to the ‘problem’. I need to convince my other half that this would work/look good, but I just cannot find any pictures online. And he needs to see it to believe it 😉 And, honestly, I need to see it too. I am afraid the room will look bare/boring…
Can anyone help me out here? Any photos that could help us visualize the room on The Day??
Many thanks in advance!
