Ok Hive, I need help!
I’m doing a lot of DIY for our wedding (aren’t we all!) and I’m having problems with my paper trimmer. I had a Fiskars one – you slide the blade along the guide and it has the little bar underneath the blade that you sometimes have to replace. Well, after very little use, it stopped cutting straight. So I changed the blade (although I couldn’t figure out how it could be dull already) and that didn’t work. So I changed the little strip. That didn’t help either.
I had a coupon for 50% off to AC Moore, so I just went and bought another. This time, I got the same type, but got the Martha Stewart one that does NOT have that little strip, just a channel. I cut the backings for ALL of my save the dates weeks ago and thought it was fine. It wasn’t until I was cutting out something that had lines drawn on it that I realized that it was not cutting straight at all!
Again, I changed the blade (I’ve used this one much more than the first trimmer), but that didn’t help. I went back and looked at my STD backings and realized they are crooked too! 🙁
Any idea what I’m doing wrong or how to fix it??????
