Hi Midwestmouse,

We just got back two days ago from our wedding-moon at Excellence Punta Cana and had the trip of a lifetime! It was by far the best desision we every could have made! The weather was amazing. 83-86 degrees and sunny 90% of our stay. There were a few rain storms that came through but did not last long! Please please do not waste any time or energy stressing about this! they will take care of everything when you arrive. If you haven’t already noticed they don’t reply back via email very quickly and that is because they are super super busy with daily activities there but I can promise you that once you arrive you will be treated like the only bride there! They are wonderful. Arthur took our photos (PM me for the link!) and Elizabeth was our wedding coordinator. They are both the sweetest, kindest people. Aside from all the wedding festivities, the entire resort is breathtaking and all of the staff is 100% dedicated to making your stay stress-free, worry-free. They bend over backwards for you and make sure you don’t need a thing!

You will notice that the staff is always working so although I did not see any renovations going on during our stay people were always working. Triming the greenery, touching up paint, room service is constantly on the go! But not a single inconvenience!

To answer your last question… I would not have changed a single thing!! Absolutely not!!!

Don’t heistate to message me more questions!

No we didn’t do a video. I wish we had though the photographer was really great! It started raining right after the ceremony but he cme up with a lot of picture ideas that did not include the beach.

We got married June 29th so it was pretty warm. We had the ceremony outdoors and the reception inside with AC so it was amazing! It wa hot but we had a breeze by the water I would not have made it outside all night though lol

these are great suggestions. Which resorts allow a legal ceremony in Punta Cana. I’m running into the problem of only finding symbolic ceremonies…any suggestions would be great. and your photos came out GREAT!

I believe they all offer legal ceremonies, it just would depend whether or not the judge or priest would be available on your date. I heard they book up pretty quickly. We are doing a symbolic in PC to bypass all of that.

  • Wedding: May 2014

Hey ladies,

I am new to this board. Just want to introduce myself. My name is Crystal and My wedding is fast approaching! May 9th 2014! I have been so busy lately and have actually got most of my planning done rather fast.

I actually noticed on here that a few of you could really use the help of my wedding planner. I know it says not to blatantly promote your company. Luckily this is not my company and i really think she could help some of you.

Her name is Theresa Calcos. Look her up she is well known. For those of you who don’t know she is the best! I have heard nothing but horror stories about the planners the resort has also known as the “romance team”. The best decision I made was hiring Theresa. She has gone above and beyond to get me everything I have wanted!

Theresa is a wedding planner for the Caribbean but she specializes in Paradisus resorts. The reason she specializes in weddings at Paradisus resorts is because not only does she have a great relationship with these resorts and those who work there but she also used to work there. Theresa actually came up with the romance packages that the romance team sells. She knows how to work these packages to get the most out of them and get you everything you want for less! She is saving me a ton! She will work with any budget and be sure to get you what you want.

She is available like all the time unlike the romance team. I literally can reach her anytime I need on Skype she is always on! If that isn’t good enough for you maybe the fact that she has this discount program that she offers will. Just contact her and tell her Crystal R sent you and she will tell you all about the program.

I am telling you that you will be more then happy if you contact her!

Here is her contact info:

Any way, is or has anyone chose the carribean buffet? what do you think of it? I am still up in the air as to what buffet to go with. Theresa actually told me its all really prference but I want something that the guests will like. What do you think?
