I’m not a doctor, so obviously can’y really advise, but, you do have a healthy BMI, and really, it is usually only when someone is VERY underweight that their menstrual cycle is affected. There are numerous things which can affect your cycle, including stress; and if you have been worrying about your weight and cycle recently this could be contributing to your late periods.

However, if you are concerned, see your doctor. Likewise, if you have always been regular, and this continues for another couple of months, and nothing else has changed (egt you haven’t recently come off hormonal BC for example), see your doctor and explain your worries.

My cycles were 30-32 days and I got pregnant. When my weight has fluctuated 5-10 pounds, it has affected my cycle, so your weight change probably did the same. I was a whole week late a few months before I actually got pregnant. I’d say if you are using the fertility tracker app and your body seems to be following that, then I wouldn’t worry. I used a more simple ovulation calendar I found online and I felt comfortable my cycle was following the calendar, which meant I was most likely ovulating.

I wouldn’t worry about it!

Don’t underestimate what weight loss can do to your cycle. I am 160 cm and usually weigh around 132 lbs. Last year I dropped to 122 lbs, which is still a very healthy BMI. My cycle became extremely irregular, with almost constant spotting and no definite period. This lasted for 3 months before I decided to cut back on the running and gained 6 or 7 lbs. Within a couple of months my period came back and was regular.

I bet your losing weight just shifted things a little, changed up your cycle. I always thought you have to be very thin with a low BMI to have it affect fertility. My sister had an eating disorder and got pregnant on her first try.

I’m underweight and have really irregular periods but I’m pretty sure I’ll get pregnant easily. quite scared actually, of getting pregnant before I’m ready… my mom got pregnant with me her first time, and she’s even more underweight than me! if you’re still worried, get yourself to a doctor, but imo you have nothing to worry about. just have lots of unprotected sex! 😉
