This is so tough. We ve gone over so many ideas. I think we re getting my mom a fancy yoga bag as she a total yogi but wouldn’t spend $70+ on a bag. His parents a couplea massage at the hotel they’re staying at. Haven’t decided for my dad and step dad.  All the women are getting necklaces I makein my etsy shop (Prettypennyjewelery). They look like little pearl eggs in a silver nest representing each lady’s kids. In fact if you guys order and mention weddingbee ill give you a discount. The officiant and his wife got a gift certificate for brunch at a fancy malibu restaurant near our wedding site.

Sentimental homemade cards for everyone.

Anyway still curious as to what everyone else is doing…

Still trying to figure this out.

His parents made a significant contribution to our wedding (about 25% of the total budget) and have been super involved.  My parents are not really into the wedding, and not contributing financially.  I feel like this makes it more complicated too– of course I love my parents and want to get them something, but I also really want to acknowledge how much we appreciate his parents’ help.

Here’s what we have so far:

His parents-

floral robe for mom (got these for BMs too)

engraved pilsner glasses for dad (a spinoff of groomsman gift)

really nice wine

picture frame with an IOU for a wedding picture

My parents-

I feel like we need to add something to both sets, but I don’t know what!

My Dad didn’t want a present because he said “It would feel like you’re giving us back some of the money we’re contributing to your wedding which is not want I want” but Mum loves her presents so she is insisting we get them something 😛

So for Dad, we’re getting him a massage. He’s never had one before.

For Mum, probably jewellery, she can’t get enough of it.

For my sister, a lingerie voucher and her bridesmaid shoes.

For my best friend, some gold earrings and her bridesmaid shoes.

For the 2 groomsmen – a whiskey barrel with an engraved plaque, and a good bottle of whiskey each.

Not getting his parents anything because they are not contributing financially.

No frigging clue! I need to come up with something! My dad and stepmom are paying for a ridiculous amount and DF’s Mom is paying for the DJ, photo booth, and cocktails after the rehearsal. My Mom and his Dad aren’t paying for anything. I did put my Mom’s dress on my credit card (miles!!!!) and I know I won’t see a dime, so there’s her gift.

We were thinking of doing frames/albums with IOU’s but that’s about as far as we got.  Not really sure.  Tagging for ideas!
