For a sentimental, wedding-related gift, you could get a digital frame.  I am planning on getting these for my parents, and having a plaque made with our names and wedding date to put on the back.  I’m going to load some pictures from our e-pics and other random shots through the years, and then they can add the wedding photos after the wedding.  I found a bunch on Amazon for under $75 (that’s for the good quality ones!)…several for less than that if you’re on a tighter budget.

You could also get an individual gift for your parents – like a spa/massage GC for mom and a golf/iTunes GC for dad??  Something that they’re into personally.

Good Luck!!

I’m going to make small parent albums myself to cut down costs.  I’m also giving our mothers embroidered hankies on our wedding day.

Do you have any siblings? What about pictures of you guys from when you were babies & kids & newer pictures — loaded into a memory stick in a digital frame. This way it’s kind of like a through the years kinda thing.

I definitely like your dinner for two idea! That’s what we did for my parents b/c they love going out to dinner.

For my hubby’s parents, we got them a digital camera. They didn’t have one and we thought it would be good to finally get them one. They would rely on my BIL’s camera for everything.

Can you get your mom a year of flowers delivered to work? Or is that too pricey? Maybe your dad a nice bar set? I’m trying to think of separate gifts you can get each of them.

Hmm we’re doing gift certificates to hotels or spas for our ‘rents. We figure they could use a little pampering and relaxation after all this wedding stuff! – Could you do a membership for each of them to something?

Tickets to something? or did you mean you want something that isn’t about them doing something together…

The sibilings photo is a great idea! Perhaps a new “kids” photo, complete with hubby? We did that for my mom’s bday recently. We had it printed and framed. Plus it was nice to have a photo more recent than our senior pictures of us up in the house!

Will you be presenting this to them at the RD? Shutterfly albums for them are great – but you’d have to wait until you get your pics back…

We got our parents Liberty Travel gift certificates… we love to travel and so do they… although its been years since they have been on a real vacation of their own. Hopefully, this will help them pull the trigger. I am so excited to give it to them!

My parents are paying for the majority of our wedding so I wanted to send them away for the weekend. FI’s parents are not contributing at all so I was thinking of maybe sending them for a couples massage. Not that it matters that they aren’t contibuting at all, I’m just saying we wil prob do a little more for my parents because of everything they are doing for us.

This is easy for my FI’s parents.  We bought his dad an expensive bottle of wine and his mom loves Dom Perignon that actually came in a nice box with glasses.  My parents are another story.  They don’t care for fancy dinners, my mom doesn’t do the spa thing and my dad doesn’t golf.  However, I finally thought of the perfect gift!  Since a gift card to Disney World since we’re going there with them after the wedding on a pre-honeymoon trip.  This will be perfect for them and I know they’ll use it!  Now, what to give my grandma since she bought me my wedding gown…

I’m giving my dad a flip video camera (a little self-serving, I admit, as I hope he’ll take some wedding video) and for my mom my grandma’s e-ring reset with a sapphire (the diamond from that ring is in my e-ring).
