I don’t have any idea of what to get our parents. I was thinking gift certificates to nice restaurants would be nice but I want something tangible and personal. I’d like to buy nice photoalbums to make them once the wedding pictures come in but I need something to give them the night of the rehearsal. My mom is picky and his mom doesn’t wear jewelry so I don’t want to go the jewelry route. Suggestions please! What are you getting your parents??

I know you said you didn’t want to go the jewlrey route, but we are giving both mothers a 3 stone light blue sapphire (the stone in my ring) necklace to represent FI’s family, my family and the new family that will be started on our wedding day. Both dads love to garden so we are giving them a white flowering dogwood tree that will bloom every July (the month we are getting married) to remind them how much we love them and appreciate them. We are doing photobooks for Christmas.

I was planning to go the picture frame route – so that they have a nice frame to put a photo in from the day. My main gift is a coffee table type book of wedding pictures that I’ll make for them after the wedding on a site like picaboo.
Personally, I’d like to do something a little cuter than the picture frame idea, but can’t afford to do something extravagent since the book of pics will cost $75 each – and we have 3 sets of parents total.

We’re getting both the mom’s hand-painted Mother of the Bride/Groom wine glasses – they’re both wine-os and I am the only daugher in my family (only time to be mother of the bride) and FI’s brother didn’t get his parents anything when they got married, so FI’s mom doesn’t really have anything to remember his day by. We’re getting the dad’s Father of the Bride/Groom painted pilsners as well.
I am also getting each mom a jewelry roll – they both travel a lot and I have gotten them both into accessorizing, so I am sure they’ll think it’s the coolest thing ever. We haven’t figured out what else to get the dad’s yet though…
