I’d get your parents something useful or that they’d use, unless they’re the type of people who are more into sentimental, place-in-on-the-mantle type people.

My mom had always wanted a KitchenAid mixer, like the one that comes with the different attachments, so we got her that. My dad got a bottle of whiskey becuase he has pretty much everything else that he wants (it’s to the point now my mom gets him socks and underwear for Christmas!).

My in-laws didn’t help with anything (we didn’t ask them to, so can’t really complain about that), and my husband didn’t seem to keen on getting them anything, so yeah.

grandchildren ;p

LOL

I think whatever you come up with, both sets of parents will be pleased; the gesture itself is a gift 🙂

We got them picture frames with pictures from the wedding! They loved it!

Both sets of parents were very generous and paid for a large chunk of our wedding so we wanted to buy them a gift to show how thankful we were.  We got them each a $300 gift card to a hotel and spa in their hometowns.  I also made them this picture frame.  We will change out the pictures to our wedding pictures when they come in.
