Hi Bees!!! 21 days till I get married! Ahh! Fiance and I have gotten my dad & stepmom and his mom a gift to give them before the wedding. I want to give them each a card to go with the gifts but I have no idea what to say! Does any one have any suggestions? They have each given us some cash to put towards the wedding. We have a generic ‘thank you” in our programs but I feel like when we give them the gifts it should come with a card….any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

This is one of those things that shouldn’t sound “boxed”… but rather frow from the heart.
So no one is really gonna be able to give you “suggested” wording…
Something you truly have to feel about this day / time in your life.
Dear Mom & Dad,
I want you to know…

My husbands parents paid for the wedding. We bought them some expensive champagne and glasses as a gift. I wrote them each a card of their own from me, to thank them for who they raised and how they have welcomed my daughter and I into the family. I may have needed a few glasses of wine to get emotional enough to write them, but they both cried when reading them as they were something heartfelt.
You can’t really find wording online to express the thanks you want to give on your wedding day. Just have a glass of wine, relax, and write what comes to mind. I did it on paper and transferred it to the card so I would be able to edit.

We didn’t get any gifts for our parents – they each put in a little money on the wedding (both sets doing it against our will – *his* mom deposited the money into his bank account without his knowledge, but that’s a story for another time. Until recently, they had a joint account).
I did write cards to both of them. His parents also gave us several gifts off of the registry.
I think for his family, I wrote something like:
We wanted to thank you for being part of such an important day for us. I am so grateful that you have accepted me into your family, and that you have treated me with such kindness and generosity over the years. I hope in the years to come that I can repay in kind what you have given me. We also wanted to thank you for…(insert everything they did for us here).”
That was the jyst of it.
