Dinner, it is! The only reason I was considering hors d’oeuvres is because it would be an unlimited buffet either way…. so people shouldn’t get hungry, in theory. But y’all seem pretty adamant about serving dinner, so okay. If anyone is curious, my venue and menus can be found here: http://www.twu.edu/conference-services/14006.asp

I had a little bit of a similar situation with my Future Mother-In-Law. I don’t have a big family at all. Our venue can hold 120 people. I had about 30 people coming. At this time my future Mother-In-Law and Father-In-Law were paying. My Fiance and I made up a list of guest we would like to invite. She was hacking people off because she wasn’t close with them. She has the stupidest excuses.. like they werent invited to their kids wedding, or they didnt talk to them much. The point was we liked them, we were close to them. She dropped the best mans parents off and that made for a uncomfortable convo with the best man when he asked. Everyday she was adding more people. People who I never even have met ( which is ok) but people my fiance has not seen in 7+ years. It is like she was running into these people and telling them they were invited to the wedding. Before we knew it our guest list of 80 ish guest turned into over 120. We had to draw the line. We didn’t send save the dates to many of the guest she added last minute. Along with many other issues they dropped out in paying so we are paying for it all now. She still has over 5 sets of friends and their husbands coming and she is still complaining about not having enough of her friends. Sorry.. just had to vent!! Just know you are not in this all alone!
