A silver frame engraved with your wedding date is  a great idea; I know that is what we plan on giving our parents.

Maybe you could get the mothers a spa package (massage, facial, etc) for use after the wedding?  I know my mom and Future Mother-In-Law deserve a nice treat after helping me with all the planning and logistics.  Then, maybe get the fathers a round of golf or something?

We’re getting them mini-albums too, but those won’t be available until our professional prints are done.

We gave my parents a Shutterfly book of our engagement photos.  They loved it!

I’m considering the spa package LNickle mentioned and the photo book Mrs. Leopard mentioned.  I’m also considering a mini getaway/vacation and digital frames with preloaded pictures.

I say a mini album of the wedding and maybe something personal…something you know they like or collect…like sports, precious moments, etc.

We’re giving our parents handkerchiefs from Etsy that are embroidered with our wedding date and a special message.  When we get the photos from guests and our professional photographer, we will also give them Shutterfly photo books.

we’re getting the parents mini albums and then gift cards to their fave restaurants. i know that my parents would enjoy a nice meal more than an expensive frame. so if your parents and his love to eat out, get them a gift card to a nice restaurant or their fave restuarant. if they’re more sentimental, a lovely frame would be perfect. if they like getting pampered, the spa day is definitley the way to go. also, for the dads, if they love to golf or love to watch sports, maybe tickets to a game or a golf day would be a nice treat for them. 🙂

We are ordering parent albums from our photographer for our parents on both sides.  They are rather costly, so we might do something else small, but that will be our main gift.

We’re thinking of doing digital picture frames uploaded with a few engagement pictures etc. I’m not wild about these glorified screen savers, but my parents think they are amazing and that’s what counts! Future In-Laws have soooo many pictures around their house so one they could easily change would be great for them.

Same with the photo books. Of course they wont be getting them until after the wedding, but I think its just a nice gesture since I really wasn’t going to get them anything anyway- well, maybe a card. My family and his are both "save your money" people so the thought of me actually giving them something would be a waste
