(Closed) Parents Gifts

I think you absolutely should give gifts to your parents regardless if you paid for the wedding, or only your parents/his parents paid.
I am no etiquette snob, but I don’t think financial contribution needs to be made in order for a parent to get a gift.
I think a photo album of your wedding is the best gift I’ve seen.

@bananchik:  would they like personalized embroidered hankerchiefs, with a message of love and thanks and your wedding date? I got these for our parents and, despite not being overly sentimental people, all four got tears in their eyes or cried! Etsy has a lot of good options. Some of the best $100 we spent.

Otherwise, maybe just a nice necklace or scarf or keychain or something like that? Personalized photo frame which they can add a wedding photo to later?

I’m planning to do a piece of artwork with a meaningful poem either on the art or in the card… maybe try and incorporate a book somehow for my mom because she loves them.

Think about what your parents enjoy and try to build around that!
