I know parents’ gifts are typical when the parents pay for the wedding and this is a “thank you” for them. However, our parents are not helping pay for anything, and we’re doing it all on our own. Do we still get them a “thank you” gift???

The parent’s gift isn’t necessarily a thank you for paying. It’s more a thank you for raising me and making me such a great person. Thank you for now giving me away to a wonderful man, and thank you for all that you have done and helped with in my life. It doesn’t have to be expensive. It can just be a nice picture frame or something like that. That’s the way I look at a parent’s gift
