Oh and I really like the 10th arr to stay in…it used to be a little shady but it’s like the East Village in NYC now…lots of stores, young people, ethnic cuisine (but there are also a lot of beauty shops that display wigs in the windows)…but it’s safe and has convenient metro stops…it’s less than an hour away from the airport on the metro…it’s also walking distance to Isle de la Cite and the Notre Dame…as for reception, I think there are some bistros in the Marais district that would fit your bill.  It’s close to the 10th arr also (walking distance) and has lots of bars-some are gay bars, but you’d be able to tell from the outside—if you do not want that.  although…they’re really just bars that happen to be frequented by gay people and I don’t really care about who frequents bars as long as they’re not part of the criminal element.

have you tried checking out go-today.com? they have great deals on flight and hotel combos! the only catch is it’s almost impossible to change/cancel your reservation once it’s made. But i’ve used them a lot!

Hi girls, I’m from Paris so I can help you I think !

Jen Erik, it’s diffucult to get married in a church in Paris becuse of the law about the 40 days to be resident in France to get married here.

But I’ve already seen that so I will ask a firend who is a planner she maybe knows.

Then about the arrondisement, I think the 7th/8th/16th are nice, there are Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysees, Vandôme Place and its luxury shopping! And you also near the 9th where there is the big Galeries Lafayette center.

For your photographer, I’m one ^^ And there a lot in Paris, depends on your budget now.

And finally for transportation for the day, you can rent a car by yourself, or take the taxi, or have a car like Mercedes Viano which can have 9 people with a driver for a day. It’s about 70€ per hour.

Hope this helps !
