you can make it work outside. i’ve seen parties file out of the car, and it doesn’t look bad at all (as long as it’s a nice looking car/limo).

do you have a doc? will your rental company set up the chairs?

getting shots of both bride and groom getting ready is one of the reasons most people get 2 photogs…will your locations be near each other? maybe he could spend most of the morning with you, then go to your groom’s room for an hour or so to get some pics of them.

how big is your wedding? you might not need a sound system. as for bathrooms, most people can wait for an hour or so until they get to the reception.

You need to get your invitations printed so you need to make a decision now.  will you have a ‘rain date’ on your invitation indicating ‘in case of rain go to abc church?”  If so you wil lhave to set up a hot line phone message that people can call in case it is overcast and they don’t know to go to thepark or the church.  It can get confusing.

Go with having it outside and be happy.  About hte bathroom, people can hold it for the time of the ceremony before they get to the reception.  What is more of a concern is the lay of the land.  Is it easy to walk?  Should you tell people not to wear high heals?   If at the end of the day you are stressing and this is keeping you up nights, get married in the church.

If the site is close by the venue and church, ask the photographer to sneak out there w/you and take some private photos.

The bottom line is your stress level.  Your heart knows what to do.  Listen to your instincts.

We thought about getting married at one venue and taking our pictures at another, but ultimately went with the park. Since the park is 45 minutes away, we’ve decided to book 2 suites at a hotel nearby. This way all the BMs and GMs will be in close proximity for the photographer and the drive is less than 5 minutes to the ceremony. We are lucky in that the ceremony area is secluded from the parking lot and hall by beautiful plants and scenery. It’s good that you have options though. Good Luck!
