I have a dilemma. My wedding dress is a gorgeous delicate soft tulle ballgown and I absolutely love it. However, since I know “big dresses” can become cumbersome,I kind of wanted a party dress for later on in the night when most of the family will be gone and it there will be alot of dancing with our late night party friends. The problem: I kind of blew my budget on the wedding dress and I feel like if I change dresses for the final hour, my fiancé will feel like the first dress was a waste of money.
What do you think?

I’m up in the air on this too. I like the thought of changing into something eassier to move in but at the same time, I’ll only get to ware my dress once. So do I live it as long as possible or change? Sorry I wasn’t much help, but this is a dilemma for me too.

I would think that by that end of the evening your husband will not really be upset if you change into something more comfortable. (By then he will probablly have taken off his suit jacket, loosened his tie and be making himself comfortable).
You can find lots of great party dresses on sale so you don’t really have to break the bank to buy one, and you could always look for a style of dress that you could wear again. Lots of women change into a “going away outfit” as tradition, I really don’t see you changing into a party dress for the last hour to be anything different than that.
