I’m from Florida, but will be in NYC this weekend. I want to pick up some $5 pashminas for my BMs. Where do I go exactly? Is it Canal Street? Any and all suggestions and directions would be GREATLY appreciated.

I’ve found pashmina’s on Canal Street, in China Town, heck, just about anywhere on a corner someone can set up a booth. Just make sure the ones that are sampled are the ones you’re getting. Often they will be in a little cellophone wrap. It has a re-sealable end, so just open it and feel it.
I bought 10 pashmina’s on my last trip to NYC and each one only cost me $3. Happy shopping!

Canal Street will definitely have them, and chances are wherever else you’ll be you’ll run into a street vendor that sells them. They have tables set up on the street, just keep an eye out for them! Have fun in NYC!

Yes, especially in popular tourist spots! I always see them along the side streets of 5th Avenue and the 50’s or 6th Avenue as well.

Canal street definitely and so does 51st and 5th avenue. If they are $5 each and you’re buying in quantity, you can definitely get them down to $3.

Actually, pier 1 has some really nice pashminas right now for $5… and they are all over the country… they come in pink, teal blue, aqua green, burgundy, & black.

Just walk outside the door. Quite literally, they are everywhere – in front of Bloomingdales on 59th & Lexington, by St. Patrick’s Cathedral on 5th Ave, on the corner of 57th and 5th, in Soho down Broadway (B-way and Spring) and of course in Chinatown along the Canal street. They usually run 5 bux but I am sure you can negotiate discount if you buy more. Have fun ! Nothing more fun than bargain hunting in NYC
