I have a beautiful Oval solitaire on a pave band. My fiancé was kind enough to include me in the process of choosing it and I was determined to add 2 matching pave wedding bands, one on either side of the engagement ring. We went today to order the rings and I asked to see what they would look like as a set (One of them is set in gold, thats all that was available. I would order matching metals). I’m really not sure how I feel. It didnt blow me away like I thought it would. I’m also dealing with a couple major life challenges right now, so I’m wondering if that is making me hesitant and indecisive. Below is a picture of the ring on its own and the ring with the 2 bands. Unfortunately I didn’t get a picture of the ring with just one band, but it shouldnt be too hard to imagine. Purchasing the 2 rings comes at a major expense, and one I’m willing to pay if I LOVE the look. But I’m really not sure. I’d appreciate everyone’s honeSt opinion – 1 or 2 matching bands? Thanks everyone!

1 pave or plain band – the oval looks as long as the three bands are wide. It’s too much going on In My Humble Opinion.

I agree, OP that the 3 takes away from your beautiful ring instead of adding wow. I think you should pick a band that shows off your e-ring’s beauty. I’m having the same issue picking a wedding band for my pave solitaire too.

One matching band, I think it will show off your center stone more. Beautiful btw!

Thanks everyone! This has really helped. I really love the engagement ring on its own, the oval shape is what draws my eye. And while 2 bands means twice as much sparkle and diamonds, I believe its what’s taking away from what I love about the ring – the oval shape. It really loses something.
