Groomsmen bees! Got a question for you! We are considering a venue but don’t exactly love the available ceremony space. We have the option of using the same space for ceremony and reception. If we go this route, I thought that perhaps we could use lighting to make the space feel different between ceremony and reception. When I priced lighting, though, it pretty much costs the same as renting the additional ceremony space would cost to rent. So here’s the question: should we use two different spaces for ceremony and reception or use the same space and pay for lighting?
Ceremony Space (we don’t really like)
Room that can be used for both ceremony and reception
So, bees, what would you do?

I love the second one, and I love the lighting. I think useing the same room would be just fine!

LIghting can be verys expensive so if its the same price to rent another venue I might do that instead and not have to deal with the stress of having both ceremony and reception in one room

I think that lighting can really transform a room so I’d go for it if you have the funds/ it will make you happy.
…but I think the ceremony space looks really nice. Have you compared costs of lighting to adding more elaborate floral decorations and candles to the ceremony space provided?

Can you afford to pay for the lighting and have the room flipped? If not, then you may want to stick with the original space.
With that being said, it looks great with the lighting, but I’m sure it would be just fine without it. You could just not get lighting and have the room flipped.
