Has anyone else had acquaintances/friends of friends and other random people offer to pay for their plate in order to attend your wedding? This just happened to us yesterday where FI’s best man’s friend form work asked if he could attend the wedding and offered to pay for his plate. He had the nerve to say, “It’s not like it’ll cost you anything so there’s no reason to say no.”
Really? well how about the fact that we don’t know you?? Fiance met you last week while watching a football game & I wouldn’t know you if I tripped over you. Who does that?? I have to admit that I chuckled a bit at first, thinking it was a joke when best man called to ask, but when I heard Fiance ask, “Are y’all smoking rocks over there??” I cracked up completely despite knowing that Fiance was extremely annoyed!

haha yes! we had people say that, and we just answered with “oh well we have a limit to the amount people the venue can hold.” thinking in our heads…. really why would you even want to come, you don’t know us or most of the people who will be there!

Dang, does crack really make people that stupid, LMAO? That’s the craziest request I’ve ever heard of! My fiance was at the barber shop the other day, and someone had just gotten married and was talking about it, and the other dudes there were a little pissed that they weren’t invited…….I didn’t realize that we’re going to have to invite all his barber shop “pals” to our wedding, too, lol.

LMAO – how ridiculous. I noticed that all of the people mentioned were men! Coincidence? I think not!
I would answer that silly question with an equally silly answer… like, “Sure! Would you like to come along on our honeymoon, too? You just have to pay your own airfare!” LOL

LOL, not yet, but I am sure that we will.

I would probably laugh at somebody if they asked me that. That’s soooo weird.

That just seems weird, we have not had that happen but I would agree that I would tell them there were limits on the space or something like that. I do think it is interesting that all of the people who seem to think this is ok are men… maybe they are just totally clueless and want in on the batchelor party 🙂

Why do people think a wedding is solely about the money? Drives me nuts.
