MrsCoffeeSnob :

Please don’t tell me this is going to become a thing.

Pay to see us get married and have our first dance and such!

So arrogant.

So…. if you don’t bring money for your plate, does that mean your invite is revoked? You can only come if you pay them?

This is taking the things to a whole different level. Isn’t the reception supposed to be a way for the couple to thank their guests for coming and celebrating the day with them…? Just no. I would be more than happy to go to a cake and punch reception.

Tell them you’re coming but you’re packing a sandwich

Tacky.  Have the wedding you can afford. If you can’t afford to feed people, don’t feed them.  Have cake and punch or have a smaller ceremony.

Even the royal wedding was free to watch on TV. Just saying.

That’s the kind of person that says “No gifts, just pay for your meal” but then will get angry when they don’t receive gifts.

I’d give them a big fat, “NO THANK YOU!”

How rude. I’d decline.

That is so incredibly weird! That would be a hard fast “No” for me, and I would not send a gift either.

I hope the person that came up with this is on this site and pops by to defend it. *crosses fingers*

I’m suspecting it’s to make sure no one goes to the wedding. 😉

I just came here for the comments honestly.

I wish it was only $25 a plate to feed my guests. Shoot, for that price I would invite my whole damn neighborhood!

Yeah, this would be an easy decline for me, seems really weird. I’m all for budgeting…..but this, people will be talking about your wedding for years but not for good reasons.

I joined this site for the ring pics, but it’s gems like these that keep me coming back.
