If you’re requiring it, you should pay. If it’s optional, you can ask them to pay.
Is there any way they can opt to do one but not the other? In the weddings I’ve been in, most bridesmaids opted for professional hair but did their own makeup.

It’s your day. You should pay. They wouldn’t be getting hair and makeup if it weren’t for your wedding.

I’m paying for them if they want, but I’m also giving them an option to do on their own.

I offered to pay for my girls (I only had 2) if they wanted to have it professionally done, but they decided to do their own.

I paid for their dresses, and I told my girls to wear whatever shoe they wanted as long as it was silver, and they could do whatever with accessories, hair, and makeup. Therefore, I didn’t pay for anything other than the dresses. One of my bridesmaids is very good with her own hair and makeup, so she did her own. The other two liked the idea of being pampered and opted to pay for the service.

I am paying for all the hair (my mom and Future Mother-In-Law included). Not having a makeup person.

We will all be having really simple makeup and hair so I will be buying some nice upscale cosmetics for the girls beforehand, and they will each be doing their own. They are all pretty decent at doing their own makeup and that way they feel comfortable. I personally hate getting my makeup done, I also feel like a clown afterwards. That way they get to keep the cosmetics afterwards which I prefer.
I was considering paying for the arvo before the bachelorette for all of us to do a simple makeup course but I’m not sure if I’ll bother or not with that one.

All my bridesmaids and I opted to do our own makeup so I will be paying to get our hair styled. Thought it would be a nice gesture since I am stumped when it comes to buying bridesmaid gifts – might just end up giving them gift certificates to Sephora.

I’m paying for hair and makeup for my three bridesmaids and MOB/MOG. We’ll have a spa day a couple days prior to the wedding, so I’ll pay for their mani-pedis too. It’s a destination wedding so I feel it’s the least we can do.

I’m paying for it because I want them to have it done – and cause I thought it would be fun to do that morning!

I’m paying for their hair but not make up, they’re paying for that themselves. I’m paying for their dresses at £200 a pop, their jewellery, fur wraps and hair accessories.

My SIL is my only MOH/BM. I’m going to pay for her hair and makeup. If I was having an army stand up with me, I probably would pay for part of it.

I’m paying for it but that’s because I wanted them all to have it done

i have them all the option of doing it themselves or having it professionally done. They all said they want it done professionally.
Thank you ladies for giving me a head up about what you are doing

I’m paying for hair, and they all had the option on make up. They all chose to do make up and will pay for that themselves (but it was not a requirement!)
