I think that’s the standard rule.  Fiance bought both of ours, though.

We probably went againt “tradition”, but I bought mine and he bought his.  I wanted the matching wedding band and since it was pricey (and he had already bought the engagement ring) I told him I’d buy mine.  At this point, we view it all as “our” money anyways.

I have no idea. Go with whatever you guys are comfortable with.

We will most likely buy each others. We also went halfsies on my engagement ring, because I felt more comfortable with it that way.

I think that is the traditional way. I bought both of ours since Fiance had paid a lot already for my ering, and the wedding band he wanted was super cheap.

We just picked ours out on Saturday, and I am paying for his, and he is paying for mine. Quite frankly, I think I came out on the better end of that deal!

In the end, I believe FIs parents will technically pay for ours. They were irked that we paid the deposit on the venue, instead of them, so we’ve been told to put the equivalent on their credit card for other wedding-related expenses. The wedding bands come to the same amount as the venue deposit, so we’ll use their card when we finally purchase them. [EDIT: His mom really likes AmEx points, so lots of our major purchases are funnelled through her card, at her request, and we pay her back. It’s a little odd, but it makes her happy.]

I thought it was tradition for the groom buy the rings.

Fiance purchased mine. I’d like to buy his but he wants a 3k ring. I’m a teacher and dont’ have that kind of cash around so he will likely be buying his ring as well.

Traditionally I think you buy for each other but I think it is really situational and depends on each other’s finances.  I bought my own (2 stacking bands) and he bought his since mine cost substantially more and I’m in a healthier more stable financial situation. He also paid for my gorgeous e-ring so I felt bad for splurging on my wedding bands.

I purchased my own ring a few weeks ago, but that’s because I got a limited-time coupon for $50 off and had to take advantage of it.  If we had waited until closer to our wedding date, Fiance and I would have probably used our joint account to pay for both rings.  I bet we’ll still end up paying for FI’s ring together and I believe it’ll cost the same as my own ring.  Or maybe he’ll want to pay for it himself – I dunno.

lol. I dont understand this because all of our money goes into the same bank account so its “our” money… I dont think it really matters who “buys” the rings?
