Just wanting feedback, although I think I already know the answer– just got an email from a bee I am looking to buy a veil from, and was asked to make a “personal” payment through Paypal rather than for “services” due to the fees she would be charged. She asked if I could transfer the money to her husband’s account as personal and said “If you can’t do it personal its fine I will just email you the regular invoice”. From what I have read on here, I should NOT do personal payments, right? Is this person trying to scam me? Should I still go through with the “services” payment or just forget about it altogether?? Please help! Thanks!

I’ve done a personal payment once & everything turned out fine, but I didn’t realize that I could get scammed that way.

You get the same protections, I beleive. Just Paypal doesn’t make any money. It’s how I transfer money with friends all the time. Paypal takes a fair chunk, otherwise.

Any other thoughts or feedback? Please?

Personally, I wouldn’t do it. I’d just do things the most legit way possible. She chose to sell things via paypal knowing the fees, so it shouldn’t be a huge deal. But I also very rarely use paypal for things, so I don’t really know the difference.
