I haven’t posted on the TTC forum yet, as I am still a few years out. However, after being diagnosed with PCOS last year, the idea of conceiving and having a semi-normal pregnancy has been on my mind quite a bit.
Unfortunately, I don’t have anyone personally to discuss this with, so I was hoping some of you ladies would be able to share your experiences with me who have TTC with PCOS.
Thank you! 🙂

I have pcos, I’ve always had menstrual disorders since i’d started puberty, when i asked a NP whether I had pcos or not, she said “well the shoe fits!”. Since then, I’ve had thyroid and hormone tests that have come out normal, but all of my signs and symptoms are that of PCOS; hirsutism, anovulation, I rarely have periods, but when I do they last for months, and I am overweight. My husband and I have been TTC since last april, but technically only for around 3 cycles, as that’s how many normal, non-progesterone induced periods I have had. I finally saw an RE an April to mark our year of trying; after 2 months of bcp’s, I will be starting clomid from the 25-29! This first cycle will be TI, but the rest until my husband comes back from deployment will be IUI. I will give it 3 cycles to work before I ask for either metformin (which I am not sure they will prescribe as i am not diabetic), or injectables (which they will).
