Just wondered what people who have gone through this think. I’m 23 years old and recently started getting acne before my period around my mouth, it’s like two and half weeks a month my skin is clear and a week and a half it’s not. Usually it’s two to three cystic type pimples and they all vanish a day or two before my period comes, and they generally will not go away regardless of what products I use until that time. The rest of my face stays clear. I had paid a about a month ago around ovulation and the doctor said it could be a cyst (possibly PCOS) and to monitor it and see if it gets better on its own.
While I do agree the acne on my chin is deffinitely hormonal (and SUPER frusterating when I’m getting married next summer and have NEVER had a problem!) I’m not sure that I’m a candidate for PCOS. I’m 5’6″ and 102lbs and its very difficult for me to gain weight, I’ve always regular periods until I came off the pill about four years ago, but after a year they came back and have been 28-29 days every month since. I do not have facial hair, balding, or any other symptoms accept these annoying pimples.
Has anyone gone through something like this? How did you fix it?
