AmyintheTARDIS:  you look great! I had never changed a diaper before- it really just all comes together after a few weeks. I also asked the nurses a billion questions in the hospital.

MsBelka31:  what a strange response for your mom to have. It isnt like an std that you got being a hooker haha! Glad you and your friend have support from each other.

MrsTwister:  love the 3d pics!!

Some of you may know me from the 1+ TTC group. In a nutshell my husband and i tried everything from timed intercourse to IVF and everything in between. We went to many doctors, did herbs, acupuncture, meditation and nothing worked. They didn’t even know what was wrong. I have pcos but successfully ovulated with drugs almost every month for 2 years.

So we went to a most extreme option. We did international surrogacy with donor eggs. And last week my husband and i welcomed to the world our twin boys, Pete and Nate. They are wonderful and we are aadjusting to life as a new family.

We are now working on the boys travel papers so we can get back home as quickly as possible.

Not to thread hi-jack here, but this seems like the best place to ask this question

My background: I’m 25, was diagnosed with PCOS when I was about 18 – I had all the classic symptoms: “Puffy” ovaries that were covered in cysts, overweight, very irregular cycles etc. My Dr (at the time) put me on the pill and I stayed on various BCP’s over the next 4 years. In Aug 2013 my (new) Doctor took me off the pill because of a blood clot.

I saw my doctor in Nov 2014 for a pre-TTC appt — She sent me for an ultrasound of my ovaries and I’m all clear with zero cysts – She said my PCOS is now gone – probably due to my 50lb weight loss. And she’s not concerned about me having PCOS anymore because my cycles have evened out, though, they aren’t always the same-ish length.

For example in 2014 I had 9 periods. I have confirmed Ovulation for my last 3 cycles (O’d in November/period in Dec. O’d in Jan/period in Feb. O’d in March/on period now). By the looks of it, based on my last 3 cycles my LP is 12 days – I have confirmed O via OPK’s and charting.

I just got a new doctor (because I moved) and will be asking her all these questions (appt is April 20th), but I’m just wondering if it’s possible for PCOS to “clear up”?! Darling Husband have been TTC for 4 months (three cycles though) and I’m not the slightest bit interested in Clomid/etc. (I’m worried my new Doc may “push” it on me)

Do you think it seems like I’m having regular enough cycles to conceive naturally? I know I’m probably over thinking this, but my previous Dr was so aloof about my PCOS being gone that looking back I’m kind of like “wtf, I should have asked more questions” lol I know these are all questions for my new doctor, but I just want to get some insight from successful TTC’ers with a history/knowledge of PCOS

Thanks In Advance Bees!

andielovesj:  That is amazing news!!! I actually remember you starting out with us in the December mamas thread. So incredibly happy for you and your family!

Stephville:  I have heard of being on the pill and losing weight “clearing up” PCOS. I think if you are O’ing it is extremely possible to conceive naturally. I was off the pill from May 2013 – March 2014 and only have 3 or 4 periods – I O’d for the first time (probably ever) in March and got pregnant. Good luck to you!

sara79:  Thanks for the reply! Thats awesome! Congrats on your pregnancy!! If you dont mind me asking, how long was your follicular phase the cycle you got pregnant? ..Thats honestly what I was most concerned about, having a longer than normal follicular phase.. I’m super happy to hear you got pregnant! It really eases my mind knowing its possible to get pregnant naturally with a history of PCOS 🙂

Stephville:  I started my last period on February 9th – pretty confident I O’d around March 27th – positive test on April 7th. So pretty long cycle before O.
