I’m currently on CD 30/dpo 16, my cycle is usually 25 days, still no sign of AF, temps still well above cover line and a bunch of negative tests. Very confusing! I started taking vitex after the miscarriage so it could be something to do with that? Anyone had an issue like this before?

trinity_542:  Hi Trinity, soy does contains phytoestrogens so I would probably limit it in my diet if I were you.

In NZ you are not eligible for publicly funded IVF if your BMI is over 32 however other kinds of treatment i.e metformin etc should not have a weight limit. I think you should definitely push your doctor for treatment and go see someone else if they still refuse.

Kabatchy2be:  I think I have some goats in reserve, I’ll join the sacrifice for you!

I visited a friend yesterday to meet her 5-week-old baby. Ohhhhh right in the ovaries!!! When I got home yesterday my DH looked at me and said, “you want the baby?” And I was like yessss. And of course that was followed by a very realistic dream last night that I had a baby but no supplies, crib, etc, so I was on a frantic hunt to buy stuff and get ready. Ugh.

MsBelka31:  Not really sure but dr google says the following “Metformin basically does not induce ovulation, more likely by adjusting Insulin level allows other natural hormones to act and aid ovulation.” Makes sense.

Can I please vent?

This weekend we’re celebrating our 2 year wedding anniversary. I had my hopes up all month considering 2 doctors told me that this month would be very likely after just having an HSG done. I kept having dreams that I was pregnant. My temp has stayed up for longer than it ever has. But I’m only getting BFNs and my temp is starting to drop. Then to top it all off, one my cousins announces that she’s expecting, another cousin posts pictures of her cute baby bump from when she was in Greece, and my Grandma let’s me know that another cousin is pregnant. It’s so hard to deal with. Especially since I’ll have AF for our anniversary as a constant reminder that I’m infertile. Ugh. Thanks for letting me vent.

spink75:  thanks for yr reply.  I am a big dairy person so am using it most days for yogurts. I am taking so many supplements it crazy and started vitex.  I am waiting to hear from my gp regarding metaformin. In the uk it is only allowed for diabetes regardless of the studies showing how it can assist in weight loss and ovulation regulation.  It can be used off license but I reckon my gp will not want to do that without a specialist and im too big for a specialist it is so frustrating. I feel angery and let down.  I know I am big at my own fault but feel I’m getting no help I have been literally left to deal with it on my own the gynecologist didn’t give me any advice apart from lose weight and have sex.  Now if losing weight was that easy I would be a size ten by now.  sorry that turned into a vent oops

sheclicksherheels:  sorry lady. It’s so hard to hear about friends and family announcing their pregnancies now. Whenever i read about it on Facebook or something, I make a face to DH and he always tells me to be happy for that person bc our turn will come and we’ll want people to be happy for us. I know he’s right but it still hurts. Vent anytime. Hope you still enjoy your anniversary 🙂

Kabatchy2be:  Thank you! My DH said the same exact thing. We still enjoyed our anniversary, thankfully. I’m starting to feel a bit better. I appreciate your reply.

MsBelka31:  I get slight cramping on my left side. Feels like a “round” pain if you know what I mean. It’s not sharp though. At least not for me…

I had very light pink spotting today…I’m hoping that means better ovulation this month! Much too early for implantation bleeding cause is only CD16. FX!

sheclicksherheels:  Can I join you in venting? I’m pretty sure we’re out this month without even having a chance to try. I’m gearing up to O and maybe O early – and my DH is out of town for work until 1am Saturday. I expected to O on Friday and figured I could stay up until he gets back, squeeze in one BD on O day, but I’ve had a ton – a TON – of EWCF and my OPKs are rapidly getting darker a couple days earlier than I’d expect. I’m afraid I’m going to O earlier than usual and we’ll miss our only shot this month. Last night I had a freak-out that we’re not going to get pregnant and had a big fat pity party for a while. Today I’m just feeling really bummed that we’re most likely going to miss the window because of his work.

AmyintheTARDIS:  if it makes you feel better, my temp hasn’t spiked yet and I’m past my normal O day…*sigh* I guess we’ll see what the blood work shows next week…hopefully your O will delay until hubby returns! FX

MrsTwister:  I’m pretty sure I am going ot ovulate today or tomorrow, and DH won’t be home until too late. 🙁  had a positive OPK yesterday, today’s is definitely negative, and my temp was low today. This is really frustrating in light of the excessive amount of EWCF I’ve had (sorry for the TMI) – if he’d been home, I feel like our chances would have been really good. Any progress for you?

AmyintheTARDIS:  I’m sorry! That must be an awful feeling. I hope next month is your month.
