Don’t know a ton about specific wineries, but I know there’s a ton throughout the Willamette Valley.  http://www.willamettewines.com/ Portland is definitely a wine and microbrew kind of town.

Downtown Portland

I like wandering around Saturday Market – open Saturday and Sunday – on the west bank of downtown.  Lots of food carts, crafts, etc.

Powell’s books is AWESOME – if you like books 🙂  It’s whole city block, multi-story of new & used books.  It’s definitely a Portland icon.  On Burnside and W 10th.

Walking the waterfront is always nice.  The west bank has waterfront park with wide paved trails, and the east bank has an esplanade.  You can walk over a few of the bridges to connect one to the other.  Park blocks and Portland State are also a nice walk with cool buildings and the farmer’s market on Saturday, lots of cool little cafes in that area too.

Day Trips

The coast is always great.  Seaside and Cannon Beach are right out hwy 26, about an hour away, and are more touristy locales, but can still be fun.  I like Tillamook and the cheese factory there.  Astoria is a nice beach town as well – Fort Stevens State Park there is awesome – a long jetty with a viewing platform, and old shipwreck, tons of beach.

The Columbia River Gorge is fun, and should be nice in the Spring.  Out there is Multnomah falls, which you can hike to the top of, and the Vista House at Crown Point has awesome views and good photo ops.  About an hour east of downtown Portland.

Have fun!
