Being an event planner for my day to day job, you would think that planning my own wedding would be a breeze! Well it was a lot of fun but also plenty of work and a crazy amount of detail to keep up with.
Talking to a friend one day she said “Have you considered hiring a day-of wedding coordinator?” At that moment I had not. But as we continued our discussion I realized that my natural habit on my wedding day would be to “coordinate” my own event! And of course the last thing I wanted to do on my wedding day was manage the “event.” So I jumped on Facebook and e-mailed the first person that came to mine, Renee Patrone. I knew Renee through various networks and remembered that she had started her own business a few years back called Patrone Events and Weddings by Renee.
What started out as a Facebook e-mail turned into several meetings over Starbucks Coffee and ultimately “Peace of mind on my Wedding Day.” Renee helped me organize details as we approached the big day, put together a day-of agenda, referred me to a wonderful make-up artist and so on. When our wedding day arrived Renee was there to handle any and all particulars and ended up being a life saver on a few last minute challenges.
The ultimate gift was that Renee allowed me to sit back and just be a bride on my wedding day. To take in all of the joy that was going on around me and not worry or fret for one minute about the details. And she did it with class and professionalism.
Thank you Renee for being my “Peace of Mind” and for helping to make my wedding day one I will never forget. 🙂
