I think you are fine. The feathers themselves dont stand out a ton in terms of color, but more visually and texturally.

Who says birds only have feathers in the summer :)-

It would remind me a LOT of the Miami Dolphins…

Blue and orange are complimentary colors on the color wheel. They go together well.

add some peacock feathers to this and it would be stunning-perhaps in litttle vases at the base of the larger arrangement

I am having a june wedding and my colors are bright teal and a soft ornage, like a creamsicle color and I loooove the darker teal/blue and the true orange even more. It looks so pretty!

And I would definitly go for the feathers…why not?!

I would say use your two colors as a foundation and then test to see what looks good on it. You don’t need to decide whether peacock feathers or eggplant touches would look good philosophically. Rather, form your centerpieces, then see if peacock feathers would accent or deter. Likewise, if you see an eggplant accent that you like and think would look good, go for it. Otherwise, don’t worry about it.

I love this post because these are my exact colors!!! Congrats on your wedding plans and wedding 🙂 I’m using David’s Bridal Peacock for the bridesmaids and burnt orange. We are even thinking of the girls wearing the dark teal and the guys wearing orange ties to mix it up. I have found it difficult to find coordinating decorations in that dark teal/pecock color. Any ideas I’m also open! We are planning our wedding on 10/14/12.
