My bridesmaid’s dresses are black with lace and i’m incorporating dark purples and blues. (peacock purples and blues). Nothinghas been bought for decorating as of yet except for the table cloths which or blue and purple. Also doing a candy buffet on the same table as our cake!

@MarineFiance: You can use simple square vases with a submerged flower, floating candle some ribbon and a feather. You can surround this with some votives.

Lanterns can be very cost effective centerpieces without flowers. You can buy these on Ebay
this one uses a stemmed compote dish with colored balls wrapped with a feather
Ikea has bright turquoise lanterns this summer.
You could place one on a wood slab and place a single large purple spider mum in a votive holder next to it.

@julies1949 Thanks so much. Yeah i saw today a mixtue of different size vases and I do like those little square ones, we will probably have a square cake so its going along with that! Thanks for the ideas!

@MarineFiance: Then if you have that much blue and purple already – stop there and then start only using the bleached/albino peacock feathers. It would so classy and help mix it up!
