Do you have anyone with peanut allergies?  If you don’t, it could be a cute idea.

I’m not usually for cutesy things like this, but I have to say that I like this idea.  Very useable for your guests too.

Ummm adorable. Can I come?! Although I agree that you’d have to make sure there were no peanut allergies amongst your guests!

i like this idea! i do agree, any peanut allergies would be a concern..but they would just not eat it i guess. You could even do 2 separate jars 😀

I think it’s adorable! If you’re worried about “tacky”, try going with gourmet peanut butter and jelly.

I think it is a cute idea, but I am not sure it would really work.  In order to keep your ingedients from spoiling they would probably have to actually be canned.  While canning jelly is not a problem, I have never heard of anyone canning peanut butter and I don’t think you would be able to keep them separately swirled if you did.

There’s nothing wrong with this idea!  I’ve seen couples give away jam in mason jars as favors and I’ve always thought that’s such a lovely idea.

A lot of people in New England do maple syrup or jam favors. I see this as a cute (clever, original) variation. Not tacky.

Maybe I’m a germaphobe, but I think I’d end up tossing your favor, even though it’s a cute idea. I can see how you can sterily fill a jar with just jam, but something about the process of putting peanut butter and jelly together in the same jar as a DIY just doesn’t appeal…Unless you could figure out how to get the peanut butter in a squirt bottle and use that to fill the jars.

(as a disclaimer, the store bought jars of combined peanut butter & jelly gross me out a little too. I think I must have PBJ issues 🙂 )

very cute idea! i do understand the fear of peanut allergies, but there are plenty of favors ppl get that they may not necessarily use bc they dont like it or bc its not practical. at least this owuld be useful for anyone that is not allergic, and still a cute idea for someone to get that they can give to someone else (rather than throw away if theyre allergic!)

and if you think about it- sometiems jordan almonds were simply given out as the wedding favor and no one really considered the allergy of it. i say, go for it! its much more useful and creatively fun for a favor!

I really like the idea!  I’d be so stoked to get that gift, since I still eat pb & j regularly.
