My dress was an A-line.  After seeing all the pear shaped girls rocking mermaids, I wish I had tried one on though!

I think I’m pear shaped. I have a tiny frame up top where you can practically see my ribs, but pretty big love handles/hips. So, if that constitutes… I got a mermaid dress from Maggie Sottero. It’s called Eleanor.

I haven’t gone dress shopping yet, but when browsing online I always pick out a-line because of my pear shaped body… I don’t particularly enjoy showing off my assets LOL. Buuuuut I guess should try on some mermaid style just for the heck of it! 🙂

I’m pear sized and plus sized.LOL A 16 on top and 18 on bottom. Seriously, I got a bodunkadunk, nicely shaped one, not flabby. I work out. I LOVE it!

I plan to look at flowy dresses because we want a outside destination wedding, not to cover the badunkadunk. But I don’t plan to look at fitted on the bottom dresses because I just don’t like them AND I know my mom will have something to say about my butt and I don’t want to hear her mouth!LOL

I’m size 2-4 on top and 6-8 on bottom and really liked how the fit and flare (or trumpet) dresses made my body look. I think it really accentuates my curves. I tried on a bunch of A-line dresses but I’m short and they just made my torso look shorter. Plus, I think the back on this gives my butt a nice boost! Tongue out This is the Maggie Sottero Coco.

i’m a pear too, and loved the way dropped waist looked.  my gown is technically a dropped waist ballgown – but looks closer to a big A line in my opinion.

I am two sizes differet between top and bottom. I am wearing a Alfred Angelo 2023. It is fitted on top and then flows out. I just feel so PRETTY when I have it on. = )

I wore a mermaid silhouette with a corset back. My hips are (at least) 2 sizes bigger than my top half (I refer to them as my spare tire), but I have a fairly defined waist, so we decided to play up my curves. The ruching and corset back on my dress helped balance my hips. Here’s the link to my dress.

I wore casablanca 1914, it was a fun dress! I should have corseted the back to help shape the pear shape.  Also I wish the torso were a bit longer.. but I loved it for our venue!

I am smaller than a 4 up top and an 8 on the bottom. Here is my dress:

Who says a pear shaped woman can’t rock a mermaid!? I intend on doing just that!

I’m probably a 2 or 4 up top and an 8 on the bottom (34″ bust, 26″ waist, 39″ hip). I wanted a mermaid dress, but I’m super short and they made me look like a dwarf. I bought a dress with a slit so people will know that I have legs lol. This is my dress..I’m going to put a corset in it to show off my waist better.
