@thehoneybear: zip ties work the best from the tutorials that I have read and you can cover them up with a ribbon.  and if you place one where you want the bottom to be then you can fold the wires up and have a donut like bottom without any pokey edges.  I wish I had save the original tutorial to this computer, and it was removed from how.com.

I am totally rethinking the flower in the middle and am prob going to redo the whole thing.  Ugh, I need more time……

I have a question for you ladies. For those of you who are done or close to done, are you finding this project cheaper than having a flower bouquet?  I am thinking about doing these for my bridesmaid and I was just wondering.

Thanks!!

@pinkbride2012:  I think for the BMs they would be close to if not more than the flowers.  I depends alot on how many bead, quality of beads, and quality of your sale shopping skills.  Mine wasn’t horrible, but for me flowers would have been cheaper.

I made the first Bout to go along with my pearl bouquet (which I haven’t made any progress on lately – right now I’m 100% in invitation mode):

Does anyone know how to make a corsage for the moms? I am getting ready to start mine when my beads come in the mail

I’m glad I saw this thread today, I have been looking for a non-flower bouquet idea.  I went to Michael’s and started cranking out stemmed pearls.  So far so good, I never would have thought of using a drill, that has made it so much easier!

@AirForceFiance: I’m considering making pearl bracelets for the Moms instead of traditional corsages. If I do, I want to put a locker on it with pictures of fi/mom/and I in it.

@MandaMack: That’s a great idea! I wouldn’t have thought of that at all! I was wondering what to do and that’s perfect.

Does anyone get how to use the drill to make it go faster? I’m a picture person so I am having trouble imagining it.
