I went to Pearl’s Place and recieved the worst service of any bridal shop I’ve ever been to. The consultant continuously told me about her annoyances with her co workers, her last bride, her money problems, etc etc etc. She also stepped on my dress with her tennis shoes leaving a slight dirty spot that I noticed when I got home but my mom got it out luckily. She must have run off 5 times to eat or talk on the phone or something and she coughed the whole entire time to top it off. If you’re sick go home, dont cough in my face and complain about it. It was supposed to be a happy day for me but I hated my consultant and I hate Pearl’s Place, but I love my dress. If you go there ask for the owner to help you. The consultants are horrific. Mine was on the verge of a flu another had no shoes on and the other was talking like she was straight out the projects. Im glad its all over.

Did you go on a Saturday? I went shopping to look on a Saturday, and it was a zoo. The store was PACKED. I had to wait a while to get a consultant, but once I did, I had her undivided attention. Every time I’ve called to ask a question, she’s called me back within one or two hours.
Once my dress came in, I went on a week day, and there were maybe 5 other people in the store. I had 3 consultants all to myself. My first fitting is in a few weeks, so hopefully my subsequent encounters will go as well as the first two.
I’m sorry your experience with them wasn’t great. 🙁

I went on a Wednesday but I doubt the day of the week would add to or take away from my awful experience. It was really the bridal associates. Mine was sick and miserable and didn’t appear as though she wanted to be at work. I’ve read up on pearl’s and they all say the same thing. Terrible service, rude consultants and it’s all true. Maybe the girl assigned to me was having a bad day but that shouldn’t affect my big day. Ms. Pearl should reevaluate her employees bc they have some rude, sloppy looking, ghetto women in that store. But I love my dress and that’s all that matters.

I loved my consultant, Lisa. She was very vested in my having a good experience there, and I always had my bridesmaids ask for her too. I think it depends on who you get to help you when you go in. Anyone who wants to have Lisa help them, she’s off on Tuesdays, so any other day would work (except Saturdays, of course – avoid that place like the plague on a Saturday).

i have to agree i had a pretty miserable time at pearl’s place. i think brides seem to have a better experience with them over the internet?

I had a great consultant. Her name was LaShon and she was very patient with me and willing to help me with anything! I told her my dress budget and since the dress I chose was a little over budget, she offered my crinoline and bustle to be done for free (about $130 in freebies). I also recommend Ruth…she helped me once with LaShon wasn’t available. I only went on weekdays by the way right when they would open to avoid crowds. The only time I had a long wait was when I went on Monday morning for my first alteration.
It sucks that there are so many bad experiences there…I’m just glad that I lucked out. :
