@GardenChick68: The first picture looks like you covered the kitchen with a curtain? Do you have more pictures of that? I was thinking about doing that. Also, what did you have for food? And how many people were there?
Thanks!

Hello! Again, I didn’t get notification of this comment, hope I’m not too late to be of help. I have a couple of pictures that show how the kitchen looked (it looked incredible!!!), more “background type”… I’ll try to post them here.
We had seating for around 60. We had the food catered by The Green Turtle, and it was INCREDIBLY delicious! They had appetizers and drinks set up on the “bar” area. The food was plated (not buffet) so they used one of the front rooms as their staging area. The other front room we set up a photo booth in. (We are renting out our services for the photo booth if you are interested).
Blessings!

Sorry, these are basically a lot of “random” photos, lol, just trying to give you an idea of how it looked. The DJ did a beautiful job of lighting the place and he put an uplight in the kitchen to give it a sort of “glow”. I had to clarify ahead of time with our caterer that they would not need to use the kitchen. I was assured they would not need it, but “maybe” for water. We left a “path” for access to the sink, so the curtain made a sort of “U” shape in the kitche so that if you looked in and saw the sink you would not see the fridge, etc… we stored all the round tables and card tables in there as well. It was cramped and the servers we (I think) a little surprised that we closed it off, but I checked several times with the head of catering to assure it was ok. Sigh. ๐
We used PVC pipe and white sheets and/or white broadcloth, muslin. We did not worry about the bottom edge of the fabric, just so that it was long enough to hang a few inches past the counter height.

I am realizing I am not getting notifications for some of the comments on my pelican beach clubhouse post. ๐ I’m sorry it’s taken me SO long to get back with you.
To “hide” the kitchen, we built a system out of PVC pipes. I made “drapes” out of sheets and white muslin. It sat just inside the counters and we hid the tables we weren’t using inside the kitchen, because we were using the front room for a photo booth.
The caterer using the other front room to plate the dinners (we did not do a buffet) and set up hors d’ oeurves on the counter. We left a little room for the servers to access the sink inside the kitchen.
We used the Green Turtle for food, it was EXCELLENT!!! The servers were really fantastic, and they supplied all the glassware, utensils, and dishes. Very professional and friendly.. the food was SO good.. yum. ๐
We had about 60 people. The Pelican says they allow a maximum of 70.
