Could it be ovulation? Sometimes when you ovulate it is very painful, I know mine is, just hurts out of nowhere!

AORiver15 :  You can still ovulate while on the pill, it isn’t likely though.

Seek a second opinion from a different doctor if you can, just to make sure it’s nothing serious.

I had a similar issue and went to the dr. He took a few tests and an ultrasound and the doctor brought it down to basically that I have a hormone imbalance that leads my ovaries to work harder than they should each month, and it can actually lead me to hyperovulate. He put me on birth control to help the pain and irregularity but I had issues with the pill and eventually stopped. These were my symptoms: frequent pelvic pain (cramping like you said), horrible period pains, moodiness and tiredness constantly, and one instance, near my pelvis on my right side was painful cramping wise and tender to touch.

I’ve had similar problems to what you’re describing and I’m currently being investigated for endometriosis. I ache all the time but it’s worse prior to my period, to the point it is making it difficult to go into work sometimes. The only way to confirm its with surgery though. At what point in your cycle did you have your ultrasound? If it was during an “ok week” it might have missed something (cysts maybe?)

AORiver15 :  endometrial tissue doesn’t show on an ultrasound, so it may still be that. Also the amount of pain doesn’t necessarily indicate the amount of tissue (you could have a tiny bit in just the wrong place, for example). Once your body is off artificial hormones it may regulate itself and sort out whatever is up, but try not to let doctors brush you off, pain is usually your body trying to get your attention. It’s not fun, especially when you don’t know why – you have my sympathies!
