Check with your florist. I checked for my August 8th wedding and I wanted white or pale pink peonies- neither of whcih is available in August. Perhaps another color is but I didn’t ask.

I was a floral designer for ten years.  You can find peonies in August (if your florist is willing to do some looking around), but they may be very expensive and low quality.  If you don’t have luck, maybe think about a bouquet of garden roses (see http://www.fiftyflowers.com and look under garden roses for different varieties.  They actually have one called a "peony rose").  Hope this was helpful and good luck!

Just incase you don’t know… for fiftyflowers.com you have to call in your order for peonies because they are in limited availability.  I would do it as soon as you’re sure you want them (just incase 🙂

Check out the Yves Piaget rose. They look just like peonies and my florist recommended them to me for my october wedding.

I am also getting married in August and immediately thought of the beautiful hot pink Peonies that I had seen in a wedding magazines. My colors are deep purple and hot pink. Unfortunately, August is the one month that these flowers are not around. If you want to spend $$$$ you can have them shipped from other countries, but is it really worth it? There are other beautiful flowers out there, keep your mind open!

I am getting married in Sept and my bouquet will be all peonies. My florsit told me that she could basically get any flower I want. Perhaps you should look into a few different florists!

My wedding is in July…are peonies ok for this month??  Also does anyone have pics of peonies bouquets that are white and pale pink???  I’m having a hard time with visualizing the flowers!!!  I’m also thinking white hydrengas (sp?) for the bridesmaids.  Anyone know if the 2 go well together??

You will have to check with your florist about July… it may be difficult to find them. I have attached some pictures of beautiful peonie bouquets if you are lucky enough to have them. As for hydrangeas, they will look great in a bouquet, whether they are white or pink.

If you’re really a huge peonie fan (like I am!), you can include silk ones in your bouquet.

My wedding was in March, so unfortunately real ones weren’t an option. So my florist said she could find real-looking silk peonies, and here was the result (the rest of the roses and hyacinth are real)…

I LOVED it!

I was an August 1 bride this year and my florist was able to get me pink peonies and 3 varieties of garden roses that made for a great combination! See the photos included. And my flower budget was very reasonable (under 2500k, 5 bouquets, bridal bouquet, 16 centerpieces, etc)
