I am having huge issues trying to pull this thing together and I’ve chosen blue, pink, and silver as my wedding colors.
Unfortuantly I’m having a hard time even finding bridesmaid dresses!
I’ve looked trying to find real weddings that used pink peonies in blue mason jars but am having a really hard time finding anything other than just the pictures of the peonies in the mason jars!

Alright….I first have to say…I love mason jars….second…I have lots of picture of pink flowers in mason jars for you!
I love the last one for the fact its a great idea for pew bows!

They’re my exact wedding colours also!
Be prepared for a lot of “it sounds like a baby shower” comments, but don’t listen to them, If you do it properly it will look really classy (thats my plan anyway!)
My bridesmaids are wearing silver/grey Alfred Sung dresses, different style for each girl:
they just came the other day and they’re so lovely!
what else have you decide on?

I love the idea you have for your wedding! I like what the PP did with choosing silver dresses. Originally I was going to use blue, pink, and silver but I was determined to have a colored dress. I couldn’t find a way to do that without it looking like a baby shower!
What about something like this for your bouquets?

we had aqua mason jars with pink peonies all over our vintage/rustic wedding. it was gorgeous! i didn’t have anyone make any baby shower comments. i think the colors are very elegant, and not childishat all. we did mismatched cocktail length dresses from alfred sung in the color niagara… really pretty. it was just a more saturated version of the aqua blue of the mason jar.

I love that blue Alfred Sung dress! I love blue mason jars too, but we already have a TON on clear ones…

@julies1949: Exactly- thank you!
@banana_anna: I have toyed with having grey/silver bridesmaid dresses but for some reason still have problems. Right now all that is decided is the church and I’m choosing a venue for reception. It is looking like we will be going with Maggianos.
@simplifiedbride: I am in love with that dress.
Maybe I should change my color scheme to various blues, peony pink, and silver.
Or would that look too hectic?

I had a gold, cobalt blue and raspberry pink wedding (full of peonies, also!) No mason jars, but a lot of different ideas. You are most welcome to check out all my recaps here for inspiration:

@accorn: i don’t think that’d be too hectic at all… we used shades of the aqua blue, pinks, and natural colors (white/linen/kraft). i think it’s more aesthetically pleasing to have a color palette, rather than stick with one shade of a specific color. i’m sure it’ll look beautiful! if you like the alfred sung for dessy dress, you should check out the dessy website, there are a bunch of super cute dresses from them in that color.

@accorn: I dont know if you know this…but it might help as well. You can dye mason jars blue!! It would probably make searching much easier!!

@simplifiedbride: What size mason jars did you use? Are the 16oz big enough or should I use the 32oz. Thanks!

Just a quick FYI:
2013 is the 100 year anniversary of Jarden Ball mason jars and so they have come out with a package of 6 pint size BLUE jars for about $10. I found them at Sears. Get them while they last!
