One of the bees -Romanian heritage, Jellyfish, I think? DIYed hers with carnations, and if you bunch lots and lots of them together they’ve the same kind of frilly look. Lovely. Think you can get them all yr round?

Welcome to the hive!! Peonies are my favorite!

I’m going to second Aunt… carnations have a similar look & are available year round. Plus they’re cheap, cheap, cheap! Also, Garden roses look very similar with the floppy, big petals! I don’t know their availability though!

Yep it was Jellyfish. If you root through her posts you’ll find it. If you’re extravagant with the flowers it’d be lovely. And maybe add roses and lilies, berries to add interest.

ETA Welcome! My Fiance is a bee-widower at this stage! It’s totally addictive!

Garden roses – that’s what I’m using, love how fluffy they are.  Ranunculus might be an option as well.

Ranuculus they’re a bit smaller but to me they’re the closest or cabbage roses. 2nd Anemonies!

I agree with PP who said ranunculus would be your best bet.

I found myself in the same predicament!  My grandmother passed away on Thanksgiving day and she has always been known in the neighborhood for her beautiful peony bushes.  She took great pride in them.  In her memory, I wanted to use peonies in all our wedding day bouquets; however, we’re getting married in September.  I have found garden roses to be the most comparable, affordable alternative.  Good luck!
