Can anyone tell me how to stop drunk people sitting on the window sills outside my bedroom and livingroom windows? Unfortunately the ledges are stone and can’t be removed (I’ve checked this). I’ve thought about anti vandal paint but I can’t put it on window ledges where unsuspecting members of the public can get covered in it (it permenantly marks).
I’m at my wits end. It usually happens about 1am with drunks, drunk kids etc leaving the pub four doors up from us. I’m so fed up banging on my windows to tell them to move on a never getting a decent sleep at the weekend.
Any help would be appreciated.

Could you put a planter up and hang it from under the sill? Ehh, but they could ruin it. Gah! That would bother me also!

Put something really sticky or nasty on them…haha. I dont’ know, I wish I had better advice! That would drive me mad.

I like peachbaby’s idea of a planter, but fill it with cactus or sticker bush plants.

are they right on the street? is there anyway you could put up a fence? how about attaching with super glue or something like that plant pots?

Shards of glass, razor wire, put up bars and electrify… That would tick me off BIG TIME! Megaphone… get a megaphone and yell at them from your bed. Or call the police.
I am someone who loves to sleep. This would be awful!
You could always move I suppose.

@housebee: I second this idea – it is great!

@skyeatnight: Can you attach anything to the ledge that would make it impossible to sit there?
If you rent this place, ask management to do something.

@skyeatnight: I would open my window and shove them off. Or I’d be a jerk and call the cops since they’re techinically trespassing.
Or.. I’d dust with itching powder.

Duct tape turned sticky-side out. I hear it’s how you keep cats off furniture.
OH! -OR- set up “Kick Me” signs so they stick to everyone’s butts when the get up.
I was going to suggest those pidgeon spikes as well. Then at least if someone asks, you can say you were trying to keep the birds off the ledge.
HEDGE BUSHES in front of the windows. The won’t get anywhere near!
