I have a problem with shoes. My feet are ‘allergic’ to shoes. I’ve never owned a pair of shoes that haven’t given me blisters. In the winter, any boots I wear will cause blisters at the back of my heels to form, in the summer, flip flops give blisters on the top of my foot. Dress shoes, it’s in the toes, heal, top – basically anywhere a shoe touches.
I’m learned to be tolerant of pain, and I carry millions of bandaids with me at all times. But this being my wedding, with all eyes on me, I don’t want to be wincing when I walk.
I also don’t want to have to resort to wearing slippers. (The only footwear that keeps my feet blister free).
I’m not entirely sure what to look for. If I should look for a nice shoe to wear for the church, and then change in to flip flops during the reception? Is there one shoe that could be tolerable for the entire day?
Show me your comfy shoes!
ETA: Also: I’ll mention, there’s a good chance there will be snow on the ground. I do plan on wearing boots out in the snow though. But it might look weird if I wear sandals/open toed shoes inside? Although no one should see my shoes anyway…

How much are you looking at spending? Because if you’ve got some wiggle room with budget, I recommend going with bridal uggs! They look gorgeous! And Uggs are the comfiest winter boots I’ve ever worn. I wear them without socks, and they feel brilliant which is a rarity for me since I, too, get blisters frequently (though, not as much as you describe) and I’m also flat-footed so that gives me issues, too.
Bridal Uggs (They also have a white sequented pair, but I like these better.)
And if you don’t want to wear boots inside the venue, or if your feet get hot, I also recommend bridal TOMS. I have this exact pair, and I just bought them because they were pretty. They are just as comfy as regular TOMS (again, a rarity for me to find any shoe comfortable for an extended period of time), but much nicer. I will likely wear these as my wedding shoes, too.
Bridal TOMS (They also come in pure white, but I like the natural ivory colour better which is why I linked them.)

@ssilva1: That’s exactly what I’m wearing. I got the crochet aqua colored ones, they’re a wedding color and my something blue. I love Toms!
