Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like there just isn’t enough variety for guests at weddings today. Summer weddings are the perfect time to add some color to your wedding, even if it is just the drinks. It’s not too much to ask for something other than champagne, right?
I came up with this recipe that is absolutely perfect for pleasing both wedding guests’ taste buds and my desire for a wedding-drink twist. The presentation looks beautiful and the color is excellent for summer. Bonus: Serve it to the kids, too!
Refreshing Watermelon Cooler:
1 whole seedless watermelon
2 cups of ice cubes
1 cup of sparkling water
1 cup of sprite
6 mint leaves
Your choice of gin or tequila (optional)
In blender, blend watermelon, mint leaves, and ice cubes. Stir in sparkling water and soda and garnish with lime and fresh mint sprig. For a kid-friendly beverage leave out gin or tequila.
