I would just go to a couple different stores and try stuff on.  You will find something that way! Stores’ inventories are not reliably available online, so you may not know what you will find until you get there.

@peachacid:  Yes exactly! A good bridal consultant will listen if you say exactly that and hopefully be able to bring you some options.

I also think you should go and try some stuff on.  Also, keep in mind, that a lot of dresses that aren’t a sweetheart can be turned into one by a good seamstress.  My dress wasn’t a sweetheart, but I loved everything else about it, so when I got my alterations done, I had a sweetheart added.  I can’t remember how much it was just for adding the sweetheart, but I think it was around $50… definitely under $100 though.  When you go try some on a bridal consultant should be able to tell you which ones could be turned into a sweetheart.

I’m not sure if this is one of the Mori Lee’s you had in mind, but I love this dress!

The empire waist should cover up andy problem areas in the hips and tummy.

It’s beautiful but dropped waist is hard to pull off.  If you have any issues in the tummy, hip, thigh area, it will likely accentuate them.  I tried on one that was two sizes larger than my (bridal) size and it still didn’t fit well.  It really depends on whether or not it’s really fitted or loose.

Alvina Valenta has some gorgeous styles with sweetheart necklines. Like these:

@LilDrAnya:  I really like that one!

Check out Casblanca.  They have a lot of dresses with similar silhouettes.

This one is Casablanca 2067

I like this one.  The cap sleeves make it a little different since most people go forstrapless.

This one is also Casablanca.  It’s not lace but the flowers have an effect similar to lace.

I agree with @MrsLongoToBe, Casablanca has a really great selection. I ended up with them I think just because they have such a good range. I didn’t buy a sweetheart neckline dress, but I’m considering having it added after it comes in, though I don’t know if it’s possible to do after it’s already been made (especially since I’ll likely get it just a month before the wedding). Maggie Sottero also had a lot of lace and sweetheart dresses if memory serves me correctly.

If you know what stores you’re going to visit while you’re here, they’ll usually list the brands they carry on their website. You might want to start there so you don’t fall in love with a dress you can’t find anywhere.

The Denise by Maggie Sottero has a sweetheart neckline, dramatic sideswept ruching, and lace embellishment that runs down the front and wraps around. Do I sound biased?? I’m walking down the aisle in it in two weeks!
