- Wedding: September 2011
Our wedding, like many others, had it’s snags but overall it was a perfect day. Our photobooth ended up not working so we scrapped that, the ceremony started 15 minutes late since it was cold outside, and the hand stamped napkins and personalized stir sticks that I spent countless hours on were lost in a box at the venue and not used. The important thing though is that we got married and we had a great time. Everyone tells you how fast the day goes, and now going through it I completely agree. You spend so much time talking to all your guests that you barely have time to notice all the details you worked to hard on.
The days leading up to the wedding were hectic as I did all my own flowers and had papers and projects due in grad school. We left for our honeymoon on Peter Island in the British Virgin Islands at 3:15 AM the morning after our wedding, we didn’t sleep at all but it was totally worth it. It was so nice to be wrapped up in a cocoon of each other and I was so sad coming home and finding that life didn’t stop. We are now in the process of organizing our apartment since we just moved in together and continuing on with school and work. I’m so thrilled to be married to my best friend! Below is a sampling of photos from our day all taken by the fabulous Jaynee Peterson. Enjoy!
My sister in law and brother in law sang our first dance song. An acoustic version of “A dream is a wish your heart makes” 🙂
One of our band members. The best money spent on the wedding by far!
One of our centerpieces, we also had low ones.
