How long ago did you ovulate? Do you track your cycles?

If you last did a test 2 days ago, you could try doing another one now. If the HCG is high enough to be causing those symptoms, it will show up on a pregnancy test by now. It’s hard though because a lot of the progesterone symptoms are exactly the same!

Flo is not an accurate way to track your ovulation. It estimates your ovulation date to be about CD14, which is not accurate at all for many women.

You may have ovulated later than usual which is why your period seems late.

Did you just come off birth control? That could account for the symptoms you are having that you are not used to and for the longer cycle length than you are used to. bliblob :

Sounds to me you just ovulated late, and the symptoms you have are from progeterone/pms.   The only want to confirm ovulation is by temping and charting.  Grab a copy of Taking Charge if Your Fertility.  It is super helpful.

bliblob :  cervical mucous can be reliable but a lot of women have several patches of fertile CM. Temping and charting is very accurate to confirm ovulation (which will then predict when your period is due), but yes by the time you have the temp shift it is “too late” to have sex.

Just chiming in to say good luck and I hope you get your BFP very soon! I had no idea about temping, cervical mucous, etc. until I picked up a copy of Take Control of Your Fertility. It is basically the Bible of TTC lol. It’s all a lot easier and less time consuming than I imagined. If you would have  asked me about temping a few months ago I never thought I would actually do it. Now I spend 5 minutes a day temping with various thermometers and devices (I’ve gone a little overboard). Checking CM is also super easy to do. I would also recommend using OPKs. I like the Clear Blue Advanced OPK but it’s not for everyone – some people hate it and prefer the ones with the pink lines.

Any update? I hope you got your BFP! Also, I just realized I got the name of the book wrong lol. I keep thinking it is called “Take Control of Your Fertility” but its really “Take Charge of Your Fertility” of course.

bliblob :  Congrats! You simply ovulated late so I highly doubt you’re 8 weeks along. Did you continue tracking your CM? when you go in for your dating scan, they’ll determine how far along you are depending on the size of the baby.
