I’m interested in this, too. I started m/cing at 4w3d, and got positive tests over a week later (Not anymore, though). It’s been 28 days since the first bleeding began, and if I am back on schedule, my period is due tomorrow. I hope it happens.

I want to know too.  I am STILL bleeding from the miscarriage but my docotr said to expect a regular period within 4-6 weeks.

@Mrs. Kiwi:  I give you credit for continuing to take HPT’s…I want to take one to see if it comes back negative but at the same time I do not want to see that empty space where there used to be a line. 🙁

I went back to the lab for another blood test today…and the phlebotomist practically gutted me like a fish…seriously lady, I’ve been through enough this week.  I am hoping it comes back at 0 or whatever it is supposed to be.  Then it’s just onto waiting for that elusive period.

It can vary drastically.  I’ve had 2 and my first miscarriage ended up being a partial miscarriage that took 2 months to finish, another month to get ovulation.  My 2nd miscarriage was over less then a week after it started and my cycle wasn’t affected at all.

I’m so sorry for all of your losses.  *hugs*

@TheNewlyMrsD:   I know how you feel, but in my mind, I decided I’d rather know for sure so that I wasn’t 2nd guessing a new pregnancy if it happened before my next af after the mc.  It’s just one more part of mc that truly sucks.  🙁

First, I got my period today (a day earlier than FF predicted, and is my norm), so my cycle regulated right away, which hugely I am thanking God for.

Second,@TheNewlyMrsD:  yeah, I took the second to last test a week after my bleeding began, because I WANTED to see “Not Pregnant”. When it came back as “Pregnant”, a week after full bleeding and cramping and the whole ordeal, I was shocked. A little hopeful (of course), and kind of worried. I had quite honestly hoped to see not pregnant because I knew I had to get less than an hcg of 5 in order to ovulate. I was hoping my body would be “done”. Since I didn’t get a negative, I went in for a blood draw the next day and got hcg of 14. I took the last positive test on 10/7 (ten days after bleeding began), then my first (and only) negative test the next day. I ovulated at CD15- five days after my last negative test- as per usual, so I guess my body was just waiting for it.

I did it so I would just know. I wanted to see those two lines very very much, but after my body rejected that baby, knowing that it was still holding on because I’m “good” at being pregnant killed me. I wanted to see one line. I wanted to know that this horrible chapter of my life was over. And checking for myself, while heartbreaking, was also healing.

At my 2 week post D and C check up, my OB prescribed me BCP for a month to regulate my cycle back. As soon as I took the placaebo pills, I got my period. I have been having regular 28 day cycles since.

I am sorry for your loss. :(.

@aalliep:  I think you have to expect at the very least a ‘regular’ type cycle of at least a month, sometimes longer. I read 4-6 weeks is pretty typical

After mine, it was four weeks. But it was a bit erratic for a couple of months. Hang in there, things will be back on track in a couple of months.

I want to bump this because now that I’m waiting for AF again I’m wondering when everyone ended up getting it after mc and what it was like?

For example, we are thinking now that we will ttc after my first cycle after mc – so I’m patiently waiting for AF…but if it changes for a few cycles after – very light and next month very heavy – would it be wiser to wait a couple cycles? Or would one be enough to get reset?

I’m pretty sure I’m ovulating this week, 2 weeks after mc, which is great bc that seems pretty regular. We’re protecting right now.

Are people still waiting to see AF?

@Sunshine09:  My experience was similar… I’m pretty sure I ovulated about 2 weeks after my mc. My period the first time after the mc was pretty normal for me, maybe a little heavier, if I’m remembering correctly. I got pregnant again that next cycle, so in my experience, there was no need to wait more than the one month my doctor asked me to wait. (I’m 34 and didn’t want to want any longer than necessary). Best of luck to you.
