I finished up my first pack of Alesse 28 on Saturday night (11pm). I never missed one pill, and I took them daily within 2 minutes apart at the most.
It is now Wednesday and I am taking my 4th sugar pill tonight with NO “period” yet (I know it’s not a real one but it’s making me nervous)! Ever since about Monday night I’ve been having very faint cramps like I always used to get before my period, but nothing still. I’m very stressed this week with work and final exams so this is not helping.
How long does it normally take if you’re a Sunday start to get your period during in the inactive pill week? I know since I am new to this it won’t be regular right away. Thanks bees!

Probably is stress causing the delay. If I stop on a Sunday, I more often than not get my period on Tuesday. Though sometimes it can be three-four days late if I am stressed.

Depends on the person, the pill and their reaction to it. Some pills will make your period lighter and shorter, so you may end up having a period from Thurs-Sun. I’ve been on ones were I had a 3 day period, some where I had a 7 day, and now I have none (because of how I’m taking them). Stress also can push it back, even when you’re on the pill. It normally takes anywhere from 1 to 3 cycles to level out.

Mine definitely doesn’t start the Day 1 of the off-week. Usually it’s anywhere from 2-4. And mine is really light, so it can be as short as 4 days.

Personally, I’m a Monday start and I usually get my period either Wednesday night or Thursday morning of the sugar pills week.

I have never started my period on the first day of placebo week. It’s always day 4, my period lasts two days, and “wraps up” on the last day of my placebo week, or if I’m super stressed, it will end on the day I start my first active pill.

I’m taking Lo Loestrine Fe and I’m on my second pack. The first month I had TWO periods. The first one 3-4 days long like normal, then the last TWO weeks of the month a really annoying light period. It was awful. So far nothing this month. I’ve started working out pretty intense and being super stressed..but I’m okay without it 🙂

If I stop Sunday, I get mine on Tuesday every time, 2nd Tuesday of every month

It used to take me a few days to start as well, and stress can definitely delay.

Day 4, usually around 6AM, like clockwork, but sometimes a little earlier.

I’m on BC designed to shorten your period. Mine is on average 2.5 days long. I take my last pill Sunday night and usually get my period Wednesday afternoon.

I take BeYaz, which is a 4-day placebo. I typically get my period the day I start taking regular pills again, which I suppose would be day 5, but not really.
