Okay hive. For the past 12 years of my life I’ve had hypothyroidism. For those who aren’t familiar it messes up your hormone imbalance. For as many of those 12 years that I’ve had a period I’ve had a strict 35-day cycle. Like clockwork.
But the past two cycles have been very different. I no longer have any PMS. No cramps, no bloat, no mood swings. The periods are short (2-3 days compared to my 4-5 day usual) and impossibly light. There is little to no actual blood, just brown-ish discharge. And instead of every 35 days they’re 24 day cycles. I thought at first I was pregnant so I took at test with negative results.
Has anyone else had these issues? I made an appt with my endocrinologist thinking it may have something to do with my hormones but that’s not for another 3 weeks. Anyone else have this happen?
